We hear every day about Google SEO. But Pinterest SEO is not talked about much. At Least not on my side of the blogging world. I was wondering why that is.
Is it because we still think that Pinterest is a social platform and not a search engine? Or maybe it’s because we are not sure how to use it as a search engine like Google? I don’t know.
That’s why I wrote to optimize your Pinterest profile for SEO to dive deeper into this search platform and how it works. How we can improve our SEO on this platform.

That way we can receive traffic to our blogs as soon as possible.
1. Optimise your name
Add a description to your (business) name. Right next to your blog name. What is your business about? Be very clear about it. Don’t leave people guessing. Here you can elaborate more on what your business is all about. What you bring to the table and how you plan to help your audience.
3. SEO optimized boards.
Be specific when naming your boards. Don’t try to be smart or come up with unique names. Just name the board what it is about. If you blog about food, use keywords related to the type of food you talk about in your posts. Use good board descriptions with a good number of keywords.
4. Board Description
What is your board about? Give a clear, well-drafted, SEO-optimized description. The clearer you are in describing your board, the better your chances of pinners finding your boards, following them, and pinning your content. Pinterest will also help in promoting your blog if it’s helpful to its audience. You can use Pinterest’s search bar to find relevant keywords for each board’s description.
