Siteground vs Bluehost, why I’m not with either

Siteground versus Bluehost review. Who is the best hosting company?
Introduction
I feel like the Siteground vs Bluehost review has been done to death. Because everyone and her momma has written a review about it.
But hey I thought I’d add my own two cents to the mix.
The Siteground versus Bluehost Debate
The debate of Siteground and Bluehost keeps raging on and on. And for good reason. Because these two web hosting companies are the most famous, logical, practical, best choice right?
I mean they are both reliable, fast, and offer great support. And let’s not forget their commissions are high if you become an affiliate for them. Especially Bluehost.
I might be wrong but I think the only reason that Bluehost is so popular is because of its high-paying commissions to its affiliates.
That’s not to say that Bluehost is not an excellent host. Sadly, though, there can only be one winner. All things are not created equal. One has to be better than the other.
I personally have not been with either host yet. And I never intended to go with Bluehost, only because underneath all the raving reviews, which all of those are affiliates for. There is that undercurrent that paints a completely different picture.
The Best
I might be biased but I have never heard a bad review about Siteground. Other than the fact that they are a bit too expensive for me right now.
But I will definitely join them when I am able to. Simply because their speed is super fast and they have excellent customer service.
I have done as much research as I could, without trying them out, when I shopped around for hosting.
The Best for Me
Like the title says I’m not with either host. So which host am I with?
Namecheap.
I know.
I know.
Not the best hosting company out there.
They are never mentioned in the best hosting reviews. And it did kind of scare me to go with them at first.
But I didn’t have a choice. Because Namecheap is, as far as I know, the only web host that allows you to pay on a month-to-month basis.
Like the name says. They are cheap. I pay $2.88 A Month. Every month. I can afford that. I can’t afford $100+ like Bluehost and Siteground.
The Lie
I hate it when bloggers mislead innocent wanna-be bloggers into believing that you will pay $3 a month for hosting.
” You only pay $3 A Month with Bluehost. That’s less than a latte. You can afford to invest in your future, right?”
I don’t know how much a latte is. I don’t live in the United States.
Please stop lying to your readers. I know you probably mean well. And some do tell the truth, but some don’t.
It wastes our time when we follow your advice only to get to the checkout and realize you have to pay upfront for a year or more.
Not cool. Not cool at all.
Ok. Rant over. Where was I?
Oh yeah, why I go with NameCheap.
They are cheap, and you pay monthly. All in all, they are not bad at all. I don’t know why not many bloggers recommend them more.
They have everything other hosts have. Sure, they are not the fastest. Nor do they compare to the likes of Siteground. But, for the price I’m paying, they don’t suck.
I haven’t had any problems with them so far.

The Bad
- They are not very beginner-friendly to use.
- A little bit on the expensive side. But they offer way more value for your money spend.
Bluehost
Bluehost was founded in Utah in 2003. It powers more than 2m websites and employs over 750 people. They were bought by EIG in 2010. Then it went all downhill from there.
The Good
- They also offer a free SSL certificate
- 99.9% Uptime?
- Claim to offer fast speed, but does not back it up with proof like Siteground
- 24/7 support but not better or faster at giving support
- Free Domain name
- 50 Gigabyte of website space
- Cheaper than Siteground

In conclusion to the Siteground versus Bluehost review. Bluehost is, without a doubt, the most popular web host. But Siteground offers the most features, the best speed, uptime, and support. They also have much more server location (5) than Bluehost (1)
It’s up to you to decide what is best for your blogging needs. And, most importantly, what you can afford.
You can always change hosts if you are not happy with your choice. Nothing is set in stone.
But as we can see. Siteground is the clear winner. Their support is outstanding. Their security top-notch. And their speed very fast. For all the benefits they offer. I would happily pay their price. You get what you pay for, and so much more.
Suppose you decide to go with Bluehost. You will get a lot of benefits too. You get a lot of website space: a free domain and a lower price.
Make the decision based on your needs and what you can afford. What the best choice for you.
