Top 10 lessons I learned as a blogger this year
I can’t believe the year is over already. The years seem to just fly past us.
Introduction to top 10 lessons I learned as a blogger this year
That’s why it’s so important to make use of every single moment. There is no time to waste. We have to make use of every opportunity we have to do the things that are important to us.
To follow our goals and dreams.
Like humans, every year tends to teach us new things. It doesn’t matter what we do. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, business owner, doctor, or homeless guy on the street.
Life is designed to teach us new things constantly.
And it’s up to us to take those life lessons, implement them into our lives and create a better, more fulfilling life for ourselves.
As a blogger, I have learned a lot this year. Personally and professionally. This year I have been frustrated, defeated, and everything you can think of.
These are some of the top 10 lessons I learned as a blogger this year.

1. Self-discipline Is Very Important
As a blogger, you have a lot of ‘free’ time. Time to do anything. You don’t have a boss telling you what to do. You are the boss Which means you can do anything with your time.
If you choose to sit and watch television the whole day, there is no one around telling you that you shouldn’t. This is where discipline comes in.
In the beginning, it’s really hard to get the hang of it. Working from home is not easy. Throw in a couple of kids and it becomes near impossible.
But if you keep working and trying to make it work you will figure it out.
I still struggle with self-discipline but not as much as I used to. What I’m learning is that even when I don’t feel like it, or I go down the rabbit hole of self-pity, I still have to do the work. No matter what.
2. The Value Of Time
Before you start blogging you don’t value your time when you start a blog suddenly there are not enough hours in the day you begin to realize just how valuable time really is because of all the tasks you have to get done. It can get very overwhelming if you don’t prioritize and use your time well.
Not having enough time helps you better manage your face and you become focused on what’s important. It doesn’t if it doesn’t grow you or your blog you don’t have to do it. Time is precious we have to spend it wisely
3. You Need To Be More Consistent To Grow
That mentality you have of, oh it’s just a blog I can work on whenever I want to, won’t work. This is a business. It’s your business.
You have to show up every day and be more consistent if you wanna see growth.
The problem is that if you are not consistent you will really not see growth. If you do, it will be very small. Consistency really is key if you want to grow fast and succeed.
4. You Need Endurance And Positivity
Having a positive attitude is crucial in this game. When it comes to blogging, positivity, and endurance will save your life when you are drowning with overwhelm.
It can be very hard when you work hard but don’t see immediate results. That’s why it’s so important to focus on the positive and have endurance. We know that nothing worth doing comes easy.
5. To Be Successful You Need Perseverance
You have to work hard at blogging. For a long time. Even when you don’t see results immediately. Especially when you don’t see results. Which in blogging you won’t.
Find perseverance in the face of adversity. Run your race and don’t quit. You can’t lose if you don’t give up.

6. You Have To Dream Big
I realized that I wasn’t dreaming big at all. My dreams didn’t scare me. I was aiming so low that I was doing the bare minimum.
We have to dream big. So big that it will ignite something in us to work harder towards our goals and dreams.
Have a vision and a plan. You don’t have to know all the steps to get you there. But know what you want and work towards it.
7. Quitting is Not an Option
You have spent so much time working on your dream. And you feel like giving up because it’s not working out as fast as you would like it to.
But quitting is not an option. Because it’s already too late, you already put in so much time, energy, money, and love into what you’ve done that it’s pointless to quit now. You might as well carry on and get the reward for it.
8. Doubt will always Exist
You will always have doubts. It happens to everybody, even the most successful people on the planet. The key is not to let your doubts convince you. You have to believe in yourself. Starve your doubts and feed your mind with positivity.
9. Be kind to yourself
Treat yourself the way you treat others. Sometimes we are our own worst enemies. Be kind to yourself, life is hard enough without being hard on yourself. Compliment yourself as you would a friend.
Celebrate your little wins. Support yourself the way you deserve. Don’t compare yourself to others. They are them and you are you so be you and love yourself.
10. Find Balance
When you start a business that is all you can think about. You become consumed with it because you just want to succeed.
But don’t neglect your everyday responsibilities. Make time for the important things in your life. For your spouse, kids, and the rest of your family. At the end of the day, they are more important than any goal or dream you are chasing.
Conclusion
These are the top 10 lessons I learned as a blogger this year. Some I already knew but was just emphasized with everything I went through this year.
I am taking these life lessons with me into 2022 and making it the best year to grow my blogging business.
I can’t wait to see what I learn next year. Life really is exciting and daunting at the same time.
We learn so many things during the year. Good things that happened to us and even bad things that happened to us. We learn so much from it and it makes us stronger.
It doesn’t matter what we go through. All that matters is what we do with what we go through. How we learn from it and what we take from it to become better people.
